BOB SEDERGREEN AND FRIENDS

Present Jo Stevenson

Saturday 14th June 2025

Time: 8:00 pm

New Orleans style clarinetist and bandleader Jo Stevenson is a much-loved Melbourne institution holding down residences in many hotels around the South Melbourne/Port Melbourne areas.  In an age where residencies are few and far between, Stevenson’s Rockets have been belting out joyful interpretation of classical style jazz at the Emerald Hotel for over 17 years.

Jo has a fun approach to playing jazz music.  At this gig he will reunite with bassist Jon Chidgey who has played with a plethora of famous jazz artists in the Stonington Gardens with bob and of course Jo was included amongst the guest artists. Ollie Shute is perhaps one of Melbourne’s happiest drummers. A drummer who knows when to put his foot down and when to ease off the pace. He is particularly joyous about swinging which makes him the perfect choice for Jo’s natural swinging style. Don’t miss your chance to hear a  happy joyous and melodic team
